Trip to Veliki Tabor is one of the most delightful day trips from Zagreb. The castle is one of the best preserved late medieval and Renaissance fortified towns of continental Croatia. It was built by a noble family Rattkay in the 16th century. With newly opened permanent exhibition you can enjoy the beauty of the architecture of the castle, feel the past and listen to interesting stories and legends such as the legend of Veronica Desinicka which was bricked up in the walls of the castle. After that we will have lunch at the farm “Grešne gorice” (engl. Sinful hills) where you will taste traditional Croatian dishes and try Croatian wines.

Tour ends with a visit to Kumrovec eco village – the birthplace of Josip Broz Tito – Yugoslavia’s socialist president and the founder of Non-Aligned Movement.
